We’ve all heard the saying “it’s better to give than to receive”. There’s no better feeling than watching your kids open presents on Christmas morning, or being able to help out a friend in need. But when we experience stressful situations or challenges, our attention often turns inward and it can be difficult to live generously. We can become so focused on our own hardships or on trying to find quick pleasures to make us feel better, that we forget about helping others. But research shows that not only does being generous make you feel good in the moment, but it makes us happier, healthier and more resilient in the long term. By shining a spotlight on others, it helps to take the focus off your own challenges and onto how you can use your gifts to help someone else. In this episode we will be exploring how generosity has the power to change everything.
